SOMETHING TO SEE – DIANI

If a picture says 1000 words, then seeing the real thing is a chatter box affair. It causes an overwhelming rush of words that come to a sudden halt leaving you speechless! So, when my friends asked me to describe the coastal beauty, I knew what I had to do.

I set aside a day to capture my highlights, so that I wouldn’t have to carry the camera around all holiday. On the set date, although it was cloudy, I headed for the pool with my camera in hand and a mind bursting with ideas. I lay down on the pool bed, waiting for the sun to come up, kiss the ocean and sparkle just right. But it had no plans of doing so and didn’t even try to hide it. I kept hopeful or more accurately, chose to remain in denial. But that didn’t last longer than 10 minutes, because the holiday had to go on. I abandoned the wait and played along with the clouds. Took a few great shots and moved on with the day’s plans.

I threw out all plans of getting the “perfect” shot and simply captured whatever was pleasing to the eye. And believe me, each day was more beautiful than the previous. Honestly, nothing is more beautiful than being present and enjoying moments as they come:
