Kiprotich, Kipsiro……what do they have in common? They are all world champion long-distance runners originating from the same geographical location in Uganda – Kapchorwa. Wondering what the secret is? Well, for the most part, growing up at an altitude of 1800m above sea level allows your body acclimatise to operating with less oxygen than the average person. Over time, this builds resilience and enhances performance. Being the champion that I am, I wanted a piece of this goodness (and the blood moon too!). Lucky for me, my camping group “tenters” selected Sipi falls in Kapchorwa as our destination for this months’ camp. These are our chronicles at Moses’ Camp site:
1. Stand on top of the world
Do it because you can. And while at it, jump up high and touch the sky – take a leap of faith.

2. Rock that tent like you own it
And well, camp will be done sooner than you think, so don’t freak out when you see caterpillars, they are part of the fun.

3. Take breakfast like a king
Benefits of a private chef and epic views to accompany the meal.

4. Then try to blow up an air mattress
Try this with the weight of a fully-fed crew, and make sure the mattress is as close to the edge as possible.
5. Enjoy the view of Sipi falls from afar
Not even distance can drown out the sound of the falling water crushing onto the moss covered-rocks and splashing back so high it creates a chaotic fountain.

6. Tell stories at the bonfire
Tenters don’t just tell the best stories, they rock the karaoke stage. But no names for now!

7. Don’t forget the post card pose
By now you know that’s standard right?

8. Pinch the sun
Not too hard, just a little bit like Salt Bae.

9. Find God in Nature
Because he is the author and perfecter of our faith.
10. And take that classic group pic
Cheers!
Wow. Another great piece.
Which Camp site did you use on this adventure?
